The overarching theme of UTKARSH,\u00a0<em>&ldquo;Virasat se Vikas Tak&rdquo;<\/em>, beautifully aligned with the National Science Day 2026 theme,\u00a0<em>&ldquo;Women in Science: Catalysing Viksit Bharat.&rdquo;<\/em><\/p>\r\n<p>The event featured two major competitions \u2014\u00a0<strong>Model Making Competition<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Poster Making Competition<\/strong>\u00a0\u2014 aimed at fostering scientific temperament, creativity, and innovation among students. Participants enthusiastically presented working models and insightful posters highlighting the role of science and technology in nation-building, with special emphasis on the contributions of women scientists toward a developed India.<\/p>\r\n<p>The program was sensitized and guided by\u00a0<strong>Dr. (Prof.) S. Ahmad Ali<\/strong>, Dean, School of Basic Sciences, who encouraged students to integrate traditional knowledge with modern scientific advancements in the spirit of\u00a0<em>&ldquo;Virasat se Vikas Tak.&rdquo;<\/em>\u00a0In his address, he emphasized the pivotal role of youth and women scientists in shaping the vision of\u00a0<em>Viksit Bharat.<\/em><\/p>\r\n<p>The esteemed panel of judges included:<\/p>\r\n<ul>\r\n  <li><strong>Dr. (Prof.) Praveen Shukla<\/strong>, Dean, School of Engineering, Babu Banarasi Das University<\/li>\r\n  <li><strong>Dr. (Prof.) Harinath Dwivedi<\/strong>, School of Pharmacy, Babu Banarasi Das University<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<p>The judges appreciated the originality, scientific relevance, presentation skills, and social impact reflected in the projects and posters.<\/p>\r\n<p>The Science Expo witnessed active participation from students across various departments and attracted a large audience of faculty members and students.
