SCHOOLOFARCHITECTUREANDPLANNINGBABUBANARASI DAS UNIVERSITY celebrated World Water Day with the aimtocreateawarenessabouttheimportanceoffreshwateramongstthestudents Indian green building council organized the Awareness Program on Water Conservation on the occasion of \u201cWorld Water Day\u201d the event was held in Stepper\u2019s Hall, Babu Banarasi Das ITM. AR. VARSHA VERMA and AR.AANSHULSINGH were\u00a0 the faculty coordinators for the programme. Students from the different department (B.Arch.,B.I.D and Civil engineer) participated in the Awareness programme.<\/p>\r\n
Dr.(AR.) Mohit Kumar Agarwal, Dean & Professor of SoAP, BBDU, Lko. was the Felicitator of the Guest the delivered a speech by welcoming the guests. WehadAr.AshokKumar,PrincipalArchitect,Arch-En-Design,Lko.AndEr.Amit Srivastava, Co-Chair, IGBC \u2013 UP Chapter & Chief Operating Officer, BBD, Viraj Construction.<\/p>\r\n
The session started with Ar. Ashok Kumar, the Principal Architect of Arch- En-Design, who delivered a presentation on \u201cAn Approach towards Environmental Sustainability\u201d to the participants and also gave glances of his own projects and difficulties that came with it and how they tackled with the issue and came up with solutions to conserve natural reserve.<\/p>\r\n
And then Mr. Vikas Rohatgi, Manager Project, Rain Water Harvester, provided us with an insight on \u201cRain Water Harvesting\u201d. He had given valuable suggestions regarding the techniques, maintenance and methods involved in Rain water Harvesting.The session also had a poster making competition on the topic \u2018NET ZERO WATER MANAGEMENT\u2019 where several students from our department took part and showed their incredible performance. And the best posters were given prizes for their innovative ideas by the guests and faculty members<\/p>\r\n
The whole thing came to an end with a beautiful NUKKAD NATAK performed by students of architecture 3rd year. They gracefully portrayed the water scarcity issue and the how it was affecting the day-to-day life of common people and what are the difficulties they are facing because of the lack of such an important factor in our life which is \u201cWATER\u201d.<\/p>\r\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
