The School of Legal Studies, Babu Banarasi Das University, Lucknow, proudly celebrates the grand success of the 1st Justice D. P. Gupta Moot Court Competition 2026<\/strong>, organised to commemorate the Birth Centenary of Hon’ble Justice D. P. Gupta<\/strong>, former Chief Justice of the High Court of Rajasthan and former Acting Governor of Rajasthan. on this occasion a book dedicated to the life and legacy of Hon’ble Justice D.P. Gupta was unveiled.
\r\nThis commemorative book serves as a timeless archive of his profound legal insights, landmark judgments, and his exemplary service to the nation as both a brilliant jurist and a distinguished statesman. Through its pages, his unwavering principles of truth, fairness, and legal integrity are preserved to guide, educate, and inspire generations of legal minds and public servants yet to come.
\r\nThe inaugural edition of Moot Court Competition witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 54 teams from leading law institutions across India, making it one of the most prestigious national moot court competitions hosted by the University.
\r\nThe Final Round was adjudicated by Hon’ble Mr. Justice Shamim Ahmad (Madras High Court, Chennai)<\/strong> and Hon’ble Mr. Justice Pramod Kumar Srivastava (High Court, Lucknow)<\/strong>, whose invaluable judicial insights and inspiring interaction provided an enriching experience for all participants.
\r\nThe Valedictory Ceremony was graced by Hon’ble Mr. Justice Dinesh Maheshwari, Former Judge, Supreme Court of India and Chairperson of the 23rdLaw Commission of India<\/strong>, as the Chief Guest, and Hon’ble Mr. Justice M. N. Bhandari, Former Judge, Madras High Court and Chairman, Appellate Tribunal under SAFEMA<\/strong> as the Guest of Honour.
